Sriwijaya Festival is a regular activity organized by the Government of South Sumatra in order to revive the traditional values in the frame heyday of the kingdom of Srivijaya. This year the Festival Sriwijaya to 25 with the theme of ‘Governance’. In Sriwijaya Festival this year will be held cultural gatherings, exhibitions, competitions creation of dance, folk songs and theatrical. In addition, it also will be held an exhibition and culinary festival.

Sriwijaya Festival will be held at Plaza Kuto Besak on 18 – July 24, 2016 in conjunction with the Culinary Festival. In this Sriwijaya Festival on the main stage every night to be held dance performances, folk songs and theater. Culinary Festival which presents the cuisine of South Sumatra and other menu also takes place in the same place.

In addition, the Festival Sriwijaya also involve communities in Palembang by providing a booth for the community. To enliven the event, will be held competitions in social media and blogs.
